This page explains what personal information I collect, why, and what you can ask me to do with it. It covers this website (enesbeganovic.com), enquiries sent to me, and the one-to-one emails I send to online stores about their product pages.
Who I am
Enes Beganovic, freelance ecommerce developer.
Email: contact@enesbeganovic.com
Mailing address: 1111B S Governors Ave #39250, Dover, DE 19904, USA
What I collect
- When you contact me (by email or the form on this site): your name, email address, store URL and whatever you write in your message. The form may also record the page and campaign link you came from.
- When I contact your business: the business email address published on your store's own website, your store's web address, and, if your website or public professional profile states it, the name and role of the person who runs the store. I also keep my notes about your store's public product pages and our emails.
- Instagram: if I post a short concept video about your store, your brand's public Instagram handle.
I don't buy email lists of individuals, I don't guess email addresses, and I don't collect sensitive information.
Where it comes from
From you, from your store's own public website, from public professional profiles (such as LinkedIn) and from your brand's public Instagram account. I use a directory of online stores to find stores that might be a good fit, but I only email addresses that the store publishes on its own website.
Why I use it
- To reply to your enquiry and, if we work together, to do the work and send invoices.
- To send a store a short, one-to-one email with an idea for one of its product pages. That's at most three emails, and I stop as soon as you reply "no".
- To keep a do-not-contact list, so I never email you again once you've said no.
If you're in the UK or EU, the legal basis is my legitimate interest in offering my services to businesses and in replying to enquiries, or the steps needed to enter into a contract with you.
Concept pages and videos
An idea I build for a store is an independent concept, not client work, and it's not endorsed by the store. Concept pages aren't linked from my site's menus and are marked so search engines don't index them. I may post a short video of a concept on Instagram (@after.cro) after emailing the store first. The brand is only tagged or named if it agrees. If you'd like a concept page or video about your store taken down, email me and I'll remove it within 24 hours.
Who else handles it
I use a small number of services to run my work:
- Google Workspace, for email.
- Shopify, which hosts this website.
- Meta, which runs Instagram.
- AI assistants that help me review public store pages and write code.
I don't sell your information and I don't share it for advertising. I don't let AI providers use it to train their models where I have the option to switch that off.
Cookies and tracking
This website runs on Shopify, which sets the cookies the site needs to work and collects basic, aggregated visit statistics. My outreach emails contain no tracking pixels, and I don't use advertising trackers on my concept pages. If I run search ads, the link you click may carry a campaign or click ID, and the contact form records it so I know where an enquiry came from.
How long I keep it
- Enquiries and client records: as long as needed for the work and for tax and legal obligations.
- Outreach notes: up to 12 months after my last email to you.
- The do-not-contact list: kept indefinitely, so a "no" stays a no.
Your choices and rights
You can ask me to stop contacting you, which you can also do by replying "no" to any email. You can also ask what information I hold about you, or ask me to correct or delete it. Email contact@enesbeganovic.com and I'll act within two business days. If you're in the UK or EU, you can also complain to your data-protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).
